SMS Consent & Messaging Policy
Last updated: February 28, 2026
Maple Street AI ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by MAPLESTREETAI LLC, sends SMS text messages on behalf of local service professionals (plumbers, landscapers, electricians, handymen, and other home-service providers) to their customers. This page describes how we collect consent, what messages we send, and how recipients can opt out.
SMS Sign-Up Agreement
By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent checkbox on our booking form, you expressly agree to the following:
Opt-In Disclosure (exact language presented to customers):
"I agree to receive text messages from Maple Street AI on behalf of my service professional. Messages may include appointment reminders, technician dispatch alerts ('your technician is on the way'), job status updates, invoice & payment links, quote notifications, and payment reminders. Message frequency varies; typically 1–5 messages per appointment, no more than 10 per month. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. View our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service."
- The SMS opt-in checkbox is not pre-checked — customers must actively check it
- Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service
- Customers can opt out at any time by replying STOP
- We send transactional messages only — no marketing or promotional texts
How End-Users Provide Consent — Step-by-Step Workflow
Below is the exact workflow showing how customers opt in to receive text messages through our platform:
Customer visits a booking page
A customer navigates to a service professional's online booking page powered by Maple Street AI. They fill in their name, phone number, email, and service details.
Customer sees the SMS consent checkbox
Below the phone number field, the customer is presented with a clearly labeled "Text Message Updates" section containing an unchecked opt-in checkbox with the full disclosure language (shown above in the Sign-Up Agreement).
Text Message Updates
I agree to receive text messages from Maple Street AI on behalf of my service professional. Messages may include appointment reminders, technician dispatch alerts, job status updates, invoice & payment links, quote notifications, and payment reminders. Message frequency varies; typically 1–5 messages per appointment, no more than 10 per month. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Privacy Policy & Terms of Service.
Customer actively checks the box
The customer must manually check the SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox is never pre-checked. The form cannot be submitted with SMS consent unless the customer actively opts in. Checking the box is not required to book the service — consent is not a condition of purchase.
Consent is recorded
When the customer submits the form with the checkbox checked, we record the consent with a timestamp, the IP address, the exact opt-in language displayed, and the method ("online booking form"). This record is stored for a minimum of 5 years.
Customer receives transactional messages
After opting in, the customer receives only transactional messages related to their service appointment. Every message includes opt-out instructions. The customer can reply STOP at any time to immediately cease all messages.

1. How We Collect SMS Consent
We only send text messages to individuals who have provided prior express consent. Consent is collected in the following ways:
- Online Booking Form (Primary Method): When a customer books a service appointment through a Maple Street–powered booking page, they are presented with an SMS opt-in checkbox. The checkbox includes the full disclosure language shown in the Sign-Up Agreement above. The customer must actively check the box before submitting the form. The checkbox is not pre-checked by default. View a live example of this form.
- Invoice & Quote Delivery: When a service professional sends an invoice or quote through Maple Street, the customer's phone number is collected as part of the transaction. The customer receives a one-time SMS with a link to view and pay their invoice. Ongoing messages are only sent if the customer has opted in via the booking form or has replied to a message.
- Verbal / In-Person Consent: Service professionals may collect verbal consent from their customers during in-person appointments. The professional records this consent in the Maple Street dashboard, which logs the consent timestamp and method. We advise professionals that they are responsible for obtaining clear, affirmative consent before adding a customer's phone number for messaging.
We never purchase phone number lists and we never send unsolicited messages to individuals who have not consented.
2. Types of Messages We Send
All messages sent through our platform are transactional or informational in nature. They include:
- Appointment Reminders: Upcoming service appointment notifications
- Technician Dispatch Alerts: "Your technician is on the way" notifications
- Job Status Updates: Notifications when a job is started, completed, or rescheduled
- Invoice & Payment Links: SMS delivery of invoices and payment confirmations
- Quote Notifications: Alerts when a new quote is ready for review
- Follow-Up Messages: Post-service follow-ups sent by the service professional
- Payment Reminders: Reminders for overdue or upcoming payments
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. All messages relate directly to a service interaction between the customer and their service professional.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on the services you have booked. Typically, customers receive 1–5 messages per service appointment (confirmation, reminder, dispatch alert, completion, and invoice). You will not receive more than 10 messages per month unless you have multiple active service appointments.
4. How to Opt Out (STOP)
You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out:
- You will receive a single confirmation message: "You have been unsubscribed and will no longer receive text messages from Maple Street AI. Reply START to re-subscribe."
- No further messages will be sent to your number
- Your opt-out preference is recorded immediately in our system
You may also opt out by contacting us directly at support@maplestreet.ai or by calling (917) 642-7990.
5. How to Get Help (HELP)
Reply HELP to any message for assistance. You will receive a response with our support contact information. You can also reach us at support@maplestreet.ai.
6. Message & Data Rates
Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. Maple Street AI does not charge any fee for receiving text messages, but your carrier's standard messaging rates will apply.
7. Supported Carriers
Our SMS service is available on all major US carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and most regional carriers. Carrier support may vary and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Data Usage & Privacy
Phone numbers collected for SMS messaging are used solely for delivering the transactional messages described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
For full details on how we handle your personal information, please see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
9. Consent Record Keeping
We maintain records of all SMS consent, including the date, time, method of consent (online form, verbal, or in-app), and the specific opt-in language presented. These records are retained for a minimum of 5 years in compliance with TCPA and carrier requirements.
